Sathya Sai Foundation and the Sathya Sai School of Thailand is organizing

Sathya Sai Debate on Human Values. It  is scheduled to be held on the 3rd of September 2011 from 08.00 am to 4.30 pm at the Sanya Thammasak Hall, The World Fellowship of Buddhists Headquarters, behind Benjasiri Park near Sukhumvit Soi 24, Bangkok.  

The Debate topics will be

1. The running man is always ahead.

2. Happiness in the world can be brought about only by compassion, not competition.

3. The true end value of education should be judged by character not academic success alone.

4. Excellence is not doing extraordinary things, it is doing ordinary things extraordinarily.

5. Trend vs Morality - Following trend is making us sacrifice morality.

During this event 22 teams from 7 International schools will participate to win trophies and cash prizes. Their discussions will be judged by imminent judges from various

fields.

Anglo Singapore International School

Bangkok International Preparatory and Secondary School

Global Indian International School

Modern International School Bangkok

New International School of Thailand

St. John Mary International School

Thai Sikh International School
 
Each team can choose their preferred topic and side of the motion. However the topic will be assigned to each team on first come first served basis. Therefore, submit your application forms as early as possible. The deadline for the application is May 25, 2011. Your assigned topic will be posted on the website and emailed to you by

June 5, 2011.  

 

Prizes 

- The winning team will receive a trophy and 12,000 Baht.

- The runner-up team will receive a trophy and 6,000 Baht. 
- All the participants will receive a certificate of participation at the end 

of the competition.  

 

 

Guests are welcomed to join the event to hear young mind discussing today’s problems.
